Common questions answered

  • The way you will shampoo will be a bit different, but you can shampoo as often as needed. It’s important to discuss frequency requirements as it may be advisable to use a different type of extension.

  • I have spent hours researching the companies I buy hair from. Cheap hair is called “fallen” hair and has to have the cuticle layer removed since the hair is not collected in the same direction. Hair with the cuticle removed will lose shine quickly and become dry and brittle. Quality hair lasts much longer so repeated purchases are not needed.

  • It’s important to use sulfate free products. You will need to keep any oily product away from attachment points. I also highly recommend the AquabBliss shower water filter to preserve the color and integrity of the hair.

  • It is not advised to swim with hair extensions in. Chlorine and salt water can weaken the attachments and dry out the hair.

  • Great quality hair extensions, when applied safely and properly, do not damage your hair. Professionally installed extensions are balanced to prevent uneven pulling and inadequate weight distribution.
